Behind the Books Is Back

You may have noticed that Behind the Books has been on a bit of a hiatus lately. With the new year upon us, we think it’s high time to breath some new life back into BTB. Our team is fired up, and we’re aiming to make Behind the Books the next go-to site on your blogroll.

You’ll hear from InterVarsity Press marketing and editorial staff, industry insiders, authors and other guest bloggers who will give you a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening in the wider publishing world and specifically at IVP.

A few posts already in the queue include:

  • An inside look from author Kent Annan at planning and executing a book tour
  • An update from our Director of Digital Publishing on the challenges and opportunities of digital publishing today and the progress of IVP’s eBooks program
  • A preview of the exciting new Reformation Commentary Series—coming this summer!
  • An update from author James Bryan Smith on the impact of his popular Apprentice Series in churches today
  • An inside look from IVP’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Jeff Crosby, at publishing a book and distributing a new album from author and musician Michael Card
  • Tips from our online publicist on promoting a book effectively in the digital age

And there’s more where that came from.

So thanks for stopping by. We hope you’ll check back often, and feel free to give us your feedback and comments. Now, let’s get this conversation started!
